Cass County Electric Cooperative working to rebuild remaining downed power infrastructure after holiday ice storm

(Cass County, ND) --Cass County Electric Cooperative hopes to have all power restored by the end of the week.

A number of people in their service area are still without power following a major ice storm that hit the region on Christmas. Paul Matthys, the Vice President of Member and Energy Services for Cass County Electric called the damage from the ice storm "unprecedented", but says crews are doing everything they can to get everyone's power back on as soon as possible.

Matthys says repair costs will likely be climb well into the millions.
