Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement regarding today’s MN GOP State Convention:
“Today, we were forced to halt our scheduled MN GOP convention due to potentially malicious interference with the servers used for our voting technology.
“While our voting system remains secure, and the integrity of the system and process remains intact and has not been compromised, our vendor witnessed an unprecedented spike in volume they can not attribute to normal use of any kind. This is the same voting technology we have used for at least a dozen other conventions with no issues.
“The Republican Party of Minnesota will be working with our voting vendor and law enforcement to investigate and determine the source of this disruption.
“It is a priority for this party, for our dedicated activists, and for our candidates that we resolve the issues at hand and ensure we uphold the values and integrity of this party and our process.
“We look forward to getting the convention rescheduled, addressing the business in front of us to elect National Delegates and Alternates, Presidential Electors, and endorsing our U.S. Senate Candidate in the near future.”
