The Fargo Fire Department encourages citizens to participate in Fire Prevention Week from October 7-13. This is part of a nationwide effort, which is united under the campaign “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere” More information on the broader campaign can be found atwww.firepreventionweek.org.
In a typical home fire, you may have as little as one to two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds. This year’s campaign works to educate the public about basic but essential ways to quickly and safely escape a home fire.
