West Acres Unveils New Project

Brad Schlossman, CEO of West Acres in Fargo, says the stores in its mall have been very stable.

“In the past year-and-a-half, we’ve added nine stores to the mall,” he says.

On Tuesday morning, Schlossman announced a new project that has been in the works.

“We are thrilled to announce ‘The District at West Acres’,” Schlossman said.

At nearly 30,000 square feet, the district will feature up to five unique restaurants, focusing on first-to-market, regional and local concepts.

The total budget of redevelopment, which includes Best Buy in the Sears building, will be in the range of 15 to 20 million dollars, Schlossman says.

The space will provide its customers with a “homey” space, with fireplaces and skylights, among other features.

Minnesota-based Crave, an American kitchen and sushi bar, will be the first restaurant to open, Schlossman says. They anticipate its opening in Spring 2019.
