West Fargo Public Schools to Build New School

West Fargo Public School Superintendent Beth Slette tells WZFG News that the new site of the West Fargo Public School District’s newest middle school will be located on the south side of the district, within the City of Horace.

Slette says the school district is ready to bid the project, and that will take place in February. As soon as the snow melts, the project will begin. Slette says it’s the hope of the district that the project will be done and ready to be opened in the fall of 2020.

Legacy Elementary, Deer Creek Elementary and Horace Elementary will be the three schools that feed the new middle school.

Slette says the district is seeing a growth of between 400 and 600 students per year, and, with that type of growth, the district is in need of a new middle school.

West Fargo’s middle and high schools boast the largest enrollment statewide.
