4 p.m. update: Moorhead Police, Clay County Sheriff’s deputies and other law enforcement officials continue to be on the scene of a standoff following a domestic involving a man with a gun, along with a woman. The woman was able to escape and call authorities.
Police arrived around 9:30 this morning, and SWAT has also arrived on scene.
As of 4 p.m., the man still has not surrendered to police, even after four flash sound diversionary devices were used. At one time, the man was communicating with police, but those communications had ceased earlier this afternoon. It is unknown whether or not the communications have resumed.
Residents in the area, which is near Concordia College, are being asked to shelter-in-place.
