A 44-year-old Moorhead man is facing two Class C Felony charges of sexual assault after a November 2018 incident in Burleigh County.
According to an affidavit, on December 3, 2018, a Burleigh County Deputy was contacted by Moorhead Police in regards to an allegation of a sexual assault that took place in Burleigh County. The Moorhead Police officer stated the complainant reported Viet Doan fondled the victim while she was visiting her uncle’s house in Bismarck. The assault began by Doan rubbing her back, and progressed into the sexual assault. The assault lasted approximately 15 minutes, the victim said.
Doan is listed as the Director of Enrollment Management Administrative Systems at North Dakota State University in Fargo.
According to NDSU Spokeswoman Laura McDaniel, Doan is currently on administrative leave from the University, where he has worked since 2005.
No court date has been set for Doan.
