Formal Charges Filed in Attempted Murder Case

 

Formal charges have now been filed against a Grand Forks man in an attempted murder case Tuesday morning in Larimore.

According to court documents filed Wednesday afternoon in Grand Forks County District Court, at approximately 7:18 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to Larimore for a report of a man, later identified as Adolf Perez, who had been stabbed. Through the course of the investigation, deputies learned Perez returned home to find the suspect, Jesse Alameda, and a female, Janelle Deziel, in his home.

Upon finding the suspect and the female in his home, a physical altercation ensued. Alameda admitted to stabbing Perez. A knife was recovered from the scene, and the blade appeared to have blood on it. Deputies learned the knife belonged to Alameda.

Perez required medical attention and transport to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which included stab wounds to the abdomen and back, as well as lacerations to the face.

Alameda has formally been charged with attempted murder, a Class A Felony.
