A scary sight for residents of an apartment building on Garden View Drive in Grand Forks early Saturday morning.
At 2:33 a.m., while Grand Forks Police, Grand Forks Fire and Altru Paramedics were on scene at the location for an unrelated call, involving individuals stuck in an elevator, five individuals were on a fourth floor balcony at 3880 Garden View Drive, when the balcony collapsed.
The five individuals that fell were all transported to Altru’s Emergency Room. The victims sustained various degrees of injuries, however, their current conditions are not known. The names of the victims are not being released.
The individuals in the elevator sustained no injuries and were freed from the stuck elevator without incident.
