LAKOTA, N.D. – A 93-year-old Lakota, North Dakota man is dead after a crash.
It happened around 4:30 PM on Friday, May 8 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Highway 1 in Lakota.
An SUV driven by a 41-year-old Grand Forks woman was on Highway 2 and a car driven by the Lakota man was on Highway 1. The Highway Patrol said the car stopped at a stop sign and went into the intersection, but failed to yield for the SUV. The car struck the SUV’s passenger’s side.
The driver of the car died. The driver of the SUV and two children passengers weren’t hurt.
Authorities say everyone involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
