(Grand Forks, ND) -- Four Grand Forks elementary students are being honored for their role in catching a kidnapper.
Police say a seven-year-old girl, a six-year-old boy, a six-year-old girl, and a five-year-old boy were playing horses in the alley of their homes off Belmont Road on July 9th when a man got out of a van and snatched another six-year-old girl playing with them.
The kids got a description of the kidnapper and a few letters of his license plate and reported it to their parents, leading to the capture of 52-year-old Robert Burr who had released the girl a few blocks away because she was putting up a fight.
