(West Fargo, ND) -- The West Fargo Police Department is awarding a Purple Heart to one of its officers.
Officer Tim Brown received the award late last week. Brown suffered a heart attack on Halloween 2021 while he was booking two women into the Cass County Jail.
The award is given to officers who are seriously injured or seriously wounded in the line of duty.
Officer Brown has since returned to work, with a story many in the department and the community call 'miraculous'.
