Fargo Police Department: Suspect arrested after drunk driving crashes down light pole

(Fargo, ND) -- A suspected drunk driver who caused property damage in Fargo is facing multiple charges.

Fargo Police say they were called to an area near South University Drive early Tuesday after a 9-1-1 call. The caller claimed 31-year-old Corey Richardson was driving drunk near the location. Police say Richardson struck and downed a light pole, mailbox, and road sign before he was found by officers, who arrested the suspect after a brief chase.

Richardson is facing multiple charges, including DUI, driving under suspension, DUI refusal, and fleeing.
