District representative: No threat made against West Fargo Public Schools

(West Fargo, ND)  --  The West Fargo Public School District says a middle school student did not make a threat against any school in the district in an incident which occurred Monday morning.

The incident was the subject of posts on social media.

A district official released this statement to WDAY Radio Now:

"While we did have a Cheney MS learner make an ill-advised statement during PE class, they were not detained by law enforcement, nor are they an individual that has made “repeated threats,” as the social media post stated. Cheney MS administration followed our district’s threat assessment protocol. Any adjustments to operations would be dictated from the results of that assessment. When I spoke with the CMS administrative team earlier today (Monday), they did not believe any would be warranted."
