Fargo man undergoes double lung transplant, family says he vaped heavily

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo man who had a double lung transplant is citing vaping as a key reason for the procedure.

Family of 22-year-old Jackson Allard says he vaped heavily, and came down with influenza and double pneumonia. The incident later required Allard to undergo a double lung transplant.

Allard is still recovering in Minneapolis, and will do so for the next six months, and is expected to need another transplant later in his life.
