(West Fargo, ND) — A West Fargo resident has announced her candidacy for the West Fargo City Commission.

Amy Zundel announced her decision on Saturday.

“Throughout my years as a resident of West Fargo, I have witnessed the strength and resilience of  our community. Now, I am eager to step forward and actively participate in shaping its future,” she said. “My decision to run for a Commission Seat is driven by a passion for public service, a desire to  foster positive change, and a dedication to representing the diverse voices that make up our wonderful city.”

Zundel said five things are important to her in her quest for a spot on the West Fargo City Commission — effective, efficient, accountable and transparent government; community engagement; sustainable and strategic growth; education and recreation; and sustainability.

“As I embark on this journey, I look forward to meeting and engaging with you, my fellow  residents, to better understand your concerns and aspirations for our community,” she said. “Together, we  can build a West Fargo that we are all proud to call home.”
