Senator Hoeven: FAA awards $10 million for Hector International Airport terminal expansion project

(Fargo, ND) -- Senator John Hoeven announced Monday a $10 million Federal Aviation Administration award for the Hector International Airport Terminal Expansion Project.

As a member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee, Hoeven worked to secure the award and said he continues his efforts to fulfill the federal cost share of more than $80 million for the estimated $155 million project.

The project includes expanding the current terminal building to nine gates, an apron expansion and a new parking garage with an elevated walkway.

“Fargo-Moorhead is a dynamic region with ever-growing demands on its transportation infrastructure, including at Hector International. That’s why we worked to secure this $10 million grant for Fargo’s terminal expansion project, part of the more than $80 million overall federal cost share,” said Hoeven. “With construction to start this spring, today’s award provides a welcome boost for efforts to expand and update this critical facility.”
