(Fargo, ND) -- Testimony continues in the trial of a Fargo man accused in the shooting death of a man at a Minot motel.

Darrion Jackson has claimed self-defense in the death of Timothy Smith at The Vegas Motel last year.

A jury of eight women and four men was seated Monday.

In opening statements yesterday defense lawyer Steven Mottinger said Jackson is going to take the witness stand and will testify that he was threatened by Smith in the past and on the night of the killing he felt Smith was reaching into his waistband for a weapon.
