Local sled hockey team wins national championship

(Moorhead, MN) -- A local sports team is celebrating a national championship win.

The HOPE Inc. Hurricanes won the 2024 Toyota USA Hockey Sled National Championships in Pennsylvania over the weekend in the tier 4 division. They beat out the Colorado Avalanche 11-2, The Grand Rapids Sled Wings 10-1, The Cincinnati Icebreakers 6-0, and the Dallas Stars in the final game 2-1.

Grant Boser led the team with 14 goals and eight assists. Adrian Greiff followed with 10 goals and six assists.  

HOPE Inc. is located in Moorhead, Minnesota. The nonprofit group works with individuals with mobility challenges, providing them with sporting opportunities.
