(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police rescued nine ducklings from a storm drain Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened in a neighborhood near Rabanus Park. Each duckling was checked to be sure there were no injuries and were later released back to the park. Authorities say there are multiple other ducks in the area, it has few natural predators, and lots of grass for cover.

Authorities say if you do find animals in distress to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center.
