(New York, NY) -- Global supply chains are back to normal.
"The Wall Street Journal" says goods are moving around the world again and reaching consumers, and that the backlogs of cargo ships have cleared up at major ports.
The report says ocean shipping rates have plunged below pre-pandemic levels and U.S. retailers now have ample inventory.
Financial experts tell the Journal that it bodes well for U.S. consumers heading into the new year, though profits for transport companies will be pinched now that supply and demand are back in balance.
