(Walnut Creek, CA) -- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is asking Tesla for information after a driver in one of the company's cars was killed over the weekend.
This is now in addition to dozens of special crash investigations NHTSA has already opened into Tesla vehicles where Autopilot was suspected of being used.
While it hasn't been confirmed yet that the Model S involved in the crash in Walnut Creek, California was using the self-driving feature, that particular vehicle is currently under recall for issues with the system.
