(Washington, D.C.) -- The search for two missing U.S. Navy SEALs is now in its fourth day.

The two SEALs went missing Thursday after falling into the water during a raid of a small ship off the coast of Somalia, according to multiple reports citing U.S. officials. The first sailor fell into the water before a second sailor jumped into the water to attempt a rescue. The SEALs were not part of a mission connected to either the protection of ships in the Red Sea or the U.S. strikes on Houthi fighters in Yemen.

In an earlier statement, U.S. Central Command said it will not release additional information until the personnel recovery operation is complete.
