(Washington, D.C.) -- The King of Jordan will be at the White House today to discuss the precarious situation in the Middle East with President Biden.

It's Biden's first meeting with King Abdullah since three U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan in a drone attack carried out by an Iranian-backed militia.

The King will reportedly be asking Biden to keep pressuring Israel to contain its war against Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, as well as to stop attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
