(Washington, DC)  --  President Biden is slamming Republicans for blocking a border security bill in the Senate yesterday.

Biden in a statement claimed that Republicans don't care about securing the U.S.-Mexico border and want to exploit the issue leading up to the November elections. Senators voted 43 to 50 to tank the proposal negotiated by a group of  Democratic and Republican senators. The legislation also failed earlier this year following opposition from Donald Trump.

Biden said the bill would have hired more Border Patrol agents and personnel and provide funding for technology to stop fentanyl trafficking.
