(Jamestown, ND) -- A Stutsman County man is facing sentencing after pleading guilty to assaulting the Jamestown Police Chief.

In a story WDAY Radio has followed for you since August, Jeremiah Mihulka officially pleaded guilty this week to simple assault and several other charges connected to a traffic stop where Chief Scott Endinger tried to pull him over for driving his motorcycle recklessly.

Mihulka then took off, eventually stopping but then got into a scuffle with the Chief and resisted arrest.

Chief Edinger sustained only minor injuries.

Mihulka will face up to five years in prison. A sentencing date for him has not yet been announced.
