(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is launching a lawsuit against the state regarding a newly passed election law.

The new law bans companies with foreign influence from making political donations, and the chamber claims the ban would interfere with companies right to free speech. Lawmakers who approved the "Democracy for the People Act" believe the law will hold up in court.
