Grafton restroom fire suspect charged, damage estimated to be more than $1,000

(Grafton, ND) -- A man faces charges for setting fires inside a public restroom in Graftron. 

18-year-old Garret Pace admitted to starting fires inside the men's and women's restrooms at a park. Officers say pace told him that he set the fires "because he was upset about not being able to work harvest." Damage estimates are set at more than $1,000 worth of damage. 

Pace is charged with Endangering by Fire or Explosion. He is expected to be at a court hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on October 30th.
