(Towner, ND) -- A truck driver is dead following yesterday's single-vehicle crash in rural McHenry County.
Troopers say it happened just before noon, about a dozen miles west of Towner along U.S. Highway 2 when the victim's westbound rural garbage truck veered off the road onto the median at a high rate of speed before crossing back onto the westbound lanes and ending up in a ditch. The 69-year-old driver - whose identity was not released - was declared dead at the scene. No one else was hurt.
Cause of the crash is under investigation.
