(Ellendale, ND) -- An Ellendale man is dead following a vehicle crash outside of the town that likely occurred this morning.
The Dickey County Sheriff's Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol says a vehicle was traveling south along 85th Avenue South East, left the roadway, and entered the west ditch. The driver of the vehicle, a 69-year-old male from Ellendale, was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say they learned of the crash around 7 a.m Thursday morning, and believe the crash occurred at approximately 1 a.m the same day.
The name of the deceased driver will be released once next of kin is notified.
