Minnesota Congressman Dean Phillips says he'll continue presidential campaign until Trump matchup

(New York, NY)  --  Dean Phillips says he'll stay in the race "as long as it takes" to have a matchup with former President Trump.

Speaking on CNN, the Democratic Presidential candidate said he's going back on his original plan of suspending his campaign if he doesn't garner enough support by March 5th.

Phillips said he sees an "immense need to keep this challenge going."

The Minnesota congressman said he's not running for re-election for the House, and said on NewsNation that his goal is to get 20-percent of the vote in New Hampshire.

He said that would be "unexpected and quite extraordinary."
