(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak will not be running in this year’s Governor’s race.
Fedorchak made the announcement Monday morning on The Flag’s What’s On Your Mind radio show. The Republican has been a member of the state’s Public Service Commission since being appointed by Governor Jack Dalrymple in 2012, and reelected twice in 2014 and 2016. She is currently the President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). She serves on the advisory board for the Electric Power Research Institute. Julie has held numerous leadership roles including president of the Organization of MISO States (OMS), vice-chair of the NARUC Gas Committee and vice president of the Gas Technology Institute’s advisory board.
Fedorchak said the decision not to run was difficult.
