(Burnsville, MN) -- The man who shot and killed two Burnsville police officers and a firefighter/paramedic before turning a gun on himself fired more that 100 rifle rounds as them.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says police negotiated with 38-year-old Shannon Gooden for more than three hours before he started shooting. Investigators recovered a large amount of ammunition from Gooden's home.
