(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota Congressman Dean Phillips is dropping out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
He made the announcement Wednesday during an interview with a radio station in his home state.
Phillips said he is endorsing President Biden "because the choices are so clear."
He launched his long-shot campaign last October because he believed Trump would defeat Biden in the general election.
Phillips announced in November that he would not seek reelection for his seat in Congress.
The Phillips campaign never accepted multiple interview requests for the candidate during the course of the campaign.
