(Moorhead, MN) -- For lack of a better term, the grand opening of Moorhead's new indoor baseball-practice facility is a hit.

City officials say community members and local baseball fans got their first look at the 'Sandlot' facility during Thursday's grand-opening event.   The 49-hundred-square-foot building reportedly boasts four full-size batting cages, a facility for throwing weighted balls and an area for exercise-band training.

Local officials say the Sandlot is Fargo-Moorhead's third indoor baseball training facility, joining Fargo Youth Baseball's All-Terrain Training Indoor Center and the Ball Yard, near West Acres.
