(Sioux Falls, SD) -- South Dakota's high court struck down the voter approved amendment that passed last November.
The courts decision states Amendment A, the recreational pot proposal, was too broad and needed to be slimmed down. The proposed amendment would've given the green light to both recreational and medicinal marijuana. The courts took away the recreational portion of the amendment.
More than 225 thousand South Dakotans voted for the amendment in its original form.
