Fargo, West Fargo schools cancel class Wednesday

From Fargo Public Schools:

Due to the projected weather forecast and blizzard conditions, all classes and extra-curricular activities are cancelled for the Fargo Public Schools for Wednesday, February 12, including the Early Childhood Special Education pre-school and Adult Learning Center.  Students are not to report to school; staff members are not to report to work.

Due to the cancellation, Fargo Public Schools will use a storm make up day that is built into the school calendar.  Fargo Public Schools will hold classes on Monday, April 13, 2020; this is now a day that students and staff are expected to be at school.

From West Fargo Public Schools:

For tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, school and activities (inclusive of all programs, meetings, trainings, rentals, practices, and contests) have been cancelled. Students are not to report to school and no staff members should report for work.

YMCA preschool programming at the Early Childhood Center is also closed; families can bring their students to the YMCA West Fargo Early Childhood Center at 1042 14th Ave E, West Fargo.

This decision has been made with consideration to the blizzard warning and travel advisory in place by the National Weather Service.

The district has now utilized our two make-up days for the year and due to our extended school day, the snow day for Wednesday, February 12 will not be made up. North Dakota Century Code (NDCC) 15.1-06-04.8 provides districts with flexibility when it comes to making up lost time due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
