The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash Wednesday night in rural Richland County.
According to the Patrol, 44-year-old Christopher Olsen, of Wahpeton, was northbound on 182nd Avenue Southeast. About one-third of a mile south of 84th Street Southeast, his 2002 Buick LeSabre left the roadway, entered the east ditch and rolled. The Buick came to rest on its top in a standing corn field.
Olsen was the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle. He was ejected during the crash and pronounced dead on scene.
The accident happened at approximately 7:25 p.m. three miles south of Wahpeton.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
