On Thursday, at 3:18 a.m. the Red River Regional Dispatch Center received a call of a reckless driver traveling eastbound on 90th Avenue North near 70th Street. The caller indicated that a Blue or Black vehicle with MN plates was swerving while traveling on the roadway and nearly went into the ditch at one point.

A Clay County deputy located the vehicle as it was traveling southbound in the 5000 block of Highway 9. The deputy attempted to stop vehicle and the driver increased speeds and refused to stop for the deputy’s emergency lights and siren. At this time, the deputy performed the PIT maneuver on the vehicle causing it to go into the ditch and become stuck. The deputy was able to take the driver into custody without incident.

Speeds of the pursuit reached 85 miles per hour and there was no other traffic on the roadway at the time.
