Positive COVID-19 case at Meadows on University

A nursing home is among the latest cases of COVID-19 in the Red River Valley.

Valley News Live is reporting that The Meadows on University reported a single resident has tested positive for COVID-19. In a letter dated April 2nd, obtained by WZFG News through Valley News Live, the resident tested positive shortly after their initial admission to The Meadows from another medical facility. The facility had taken measures recommended by the CDC, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the North Dakota Department of Health to prevent such infections, the letter read.

The facility has notified and received guidance from the Department of Health and the CDC.

The facility says staff members, who met the criteria for testing, have been tested and all tests returned negative, with some tests still pending.
