Fargo woman suffers serious injuries in motorcycle crash near Valley City

 

A 42-year-old Fargo woman was taken to a Valley City hospital, then airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo after her 2016 Harley Davidson Softail ran off I-94 near Valley City Saturday afternoon.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the woman, who was not named, was eastbound on I-94 in the left lane, traveling down hill on a curve, when she failed to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle ran off the roadway, into the median of I-94, causing it to overturn.

The female rider, along with the Harley Davidson motorcycle, came to rest in the median of I-94. She was transported intially to CHI Mercy Health in Valley City by ambulance, before Avera Careflight, of Aberdeen, S.D., transported the female to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
