City of Fargo to Discuss More Parking Spaces

The City of Fargo Parking Commission met on Thursday, and Jim Gilmour, Director of Strategic Planning & Research, tells WZFG News that all members were in agreement that the City of Fargo needs more parking spaces.

According to a memo to the Parking Commission, over the past four years, three public surface lots have closed.

With the addition of the Roberts Commons parking area, 454 spots were added. The closures of the other lots eliminated 439 spots, leaving a net gain of 15 parking spots available to the public downtown.

Gilmour says the Parking Commission is planning a special meeting in January to discuss options for new parking facilities.
