Fargo teen sentenced for using pencil to assault federal witness in drive-by shooting case

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo man will spend 11 years behind bars for using a pencil to assault a federal witness in a case involving a drive-by shooting.

The punishment was handed down Thursday to 19-year-old Daniel Saydee Cisse.

Prosecutors say Cisse attacked the witness in January last year, while they were both being held at the Cass County Jail.

The witness was part of a state and federal investigation into the shooting death of 41-year-old Santino Marial. 

Marial was with friends at Cheyenne Estates on August 28th 2020, when he as shot and killed.
