Miniature Statue Of Liberty Replica Unveiled In DC

(Washington, DC) -- A second Statue of Liberty has been placed in front of the French Ambassador's home in Washington, D.C.  

An inauguration ceremony was held, marking more than 135 years since the first Statue of Liberty was unveiled in New York.  

According to CNN, the replica is one-sixteenth the size of the original, weighs a thousand pounds and was created using an 1878 plaster model from sculptor Auguste Bartholdi.  

The miniature version will be in D.C. for the next ten years.
