North Dakota National Guard soldiers return from year deployment

(Bismarck, ND)  --  North Dakota's U.S. Senators have welcomed the North Dakota National Guard's 1st battalion, 112th Aviation Regiment back home.

The troops have been deployed on the nation's southwest border for the last year.

Both Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer were on hand in Bismarck yesterday for the unit's safe return.

The troops were tasked with securing the border, intervening in human and drug trafficking and stopping illegal immigration.
