(Fergus Falls, MN) -- Residents of Fergus Falls are letting state lawmakers know they're upset over the upcoming closure of a behavioral health facility.

Lake Region Healthcare will close the inpatient unit on March 15th, citing higher costs and fewer patients as factors in the decision. The organization will still provide outpatient services, but inpatient needs will be outsourced to other units in the region.

Members of the community put the healthcare company on blast during a Minnesota Department of Health public hearing yesterday, saying they've had very little input into the decision.
