School shooting threat prompts local school to increase security Monday

(Mayville, ND) — Law enforcement presence will be increased at a school in Traill County following an alleged threat received over the weekend.

In a statement to Flag Family Media News, May-Port-CG Superintendent Michael Bradner said, “May-Port CG administration was made aware of an alleged threat of a school shooting.”

In the statement, Bradner did not give any specifics as to the nature of the threat or when it was received, but said that school administration was in contact with law enforcement, and that they will be present within the school district Monday.

“Administration has investigated the incident and met with students and parents,” he said. “The safety of all of our students and staff is our top priority.”
