Grand Forks County Crash Injures Three

A two-vehicle crash in Grand Forks County has sent three to the hospital with injuries.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a 2012 Chevy Suburban and a 1992 Chevy K3500 with an unloaded flatbed trailer were both eastbound on Grand Forks County Road 6.

The Suburban, driven by Teri Dorman of Northwood, attempted to overtake the Chevy, driven by Thomas Brooks of Grand Forks. Brooks had just begun a left turn onto 18th Street Northeast. The suburban struck the drivers side of the Chevy, and both entered the ditch. Three of Dorman’s passengers were not hurt, and two were injured, but didn’t require transport to the hospital. Brooks was taken to Altru by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
