  • 15 IN NORTH DAKOTA.... THERE HAVE NOW BEEN 308 ACROSS THE STATE TO TEST POSITIVE....12 OF THE 15 POSITIVES IN NORTH DAKOTA ARE IN CASS COUNTY....THAT'S 107 OF THE 308, MEANING MORE THAN A THIRD OF THE STATE'S POSITIVES ARE IN CASS COUNTY....
  • IN MINNESOTA MORE THAN TWICE AS MANY CASES AS ANY OTHER SINGLE DAY....ALMOST 200 IN ALL....NOW A TOTAL OF 1,621....Clay County saw its biggest single day jump with 11 new cases, now 40 in all.
  • IN SD, 104 NEW CASES, 730 TOTAL
  • ACROSS THE US....ABOUT 26-THOUSAND WITH 550-THOUSAND TOTAL....WE RANK 19TH IN THE WORLD IN CASES PER CAPITA....

  • IN MN, 157 ARE IN HOSPITAL CARE UP 12 FROM THE DAY BEFORE
  • ACROSS THE COUNTRY, JUST OVER 11,700 ARE IN SERIOUS OR CRITICAL CONDITION...THAT'S UP 500 FROM YESTERDAY
  • AND WORLDWIDE, THE NUMBER IS JUST OVER 50-THOUSAND

AND IN THE U-S, NEARLY 32-THOUSAND HAVE RECOVERED, WHILE WORLDWIDE THAT NUMBER IS JUST OVER 420-THOUSAND.ON THE TRENDLINES THIS MORNING:

  • NORTH DAKOTA SAW A 4 DAY STRING COME TO AN END WITH DECLINING HOSPITALIZATIONS....GOING FROM 10 TO 12 ON SUNDAY.
  • IN MN, ALL THE NUMBERS OF HOSPITALIZED ARE AT THEIR HIGHEST YET, BOTH ICU AND NON ICU PATIENTS.
  • NORTH DAKOTA HAS NOW TESTED MORE THAN 10-THOUSAND PEOPLE...THE POSITIVE RATE IS 2.9%
  • WITH 8 DEATHS, 2.6% OF THOSE TO TEST POSITIVE HAVE DIED
  • THE U-S DEATH TOTAL OF JUST OVER 22-THOUSAND MEANS THE U-S CONTINUES TO HAVE MORE DEATHS FROM THE VIRUS THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY.

An inmate at the Cass County Jail in Fargo has tested positive for COVID-19...THE MAN IN HIS 30'S WAS BOOKED INTO THE JAIL ON TUESDAY, WENT THROUGH SCREENING, SEVERAL DAYS OF ISOLATION, AND TESTED POSITIVE ON SATURDAY...SHERIFF JESSE JAHNER SAYS HE DID NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER INMATES AND IS ONLY DISPLAYING MINOR SYMPTOMS...4 OFFICERS WHO CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE MAN ARE ISOLATING AT HOME, AND ARE CURRENTLY SHOWING NO SYMPTOMS OF BEING INFECTED....

A LARGE NUMBER OF NEW CASES HAS BEEN REPORTED IN MINNESOTA....194 SUNDAY....THE PREVIOUS SINGLE DAY HIGH WAS 94.....WHY THE JUMP?    Officials said some cases that normally wouldn't have been made public until Monday made it in the report a day early — However, health officials believe that the limited testing for COVID-19 could be identifying as few as 1 percent of all cases.....“Multiply the confirmed cases by 100,” Stefan Gildemeister, the state’s health economist. “That’s where we expect to be.” That puts the high estimate at more than 150,000 cases in the state.

Of the six deaths reported Sunday, three were people in the 90s from Hennepin County; one was a Hennepin County resident in their 70s; one was a Washington County resident in their 50s; and one was a St. Louis County resident in their 80s.

NORTH DAKOTA HAS ITS 8TH DEATH FROM THE VIRUS....THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAYS HE'S A Man in his 50s from Ward County with underlying health conditions who acquired COVID-19 through community spread.

THE HEAD OF COBORNS SAYS EMPLOYEES OF HORNBACHERS AND CASHWISE STORES WILL BE WEARING FACEMASKS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE......THIS AFTER THE US FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION RELEASED NEW GUIDELINES SAYING workers' SHOULD HAVE THEIR health CHECKED before they start a shift, including temperature checks. Employees should ALSO wear GLOVES AND MASKS AT ALL TIMES, maintain six feet of separation from co-workers, and assess their own health throughout the day....

Los Angeles County has extended its safer-at-home and business-closure orders through May 15, 2020, as public health officials said that 8,430 individuals in the county have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The initial order was set to expire on April 19.

The United States' top infectious disease expert said Sunday that the economy in parts of the country could have a "rolling reentry" as early as next month.......Dr. Anthony Fauci said a gradual process will be required based on the availability of rapid, widespread testing. BUT SOME KIND OF A ROLLING RE-ENTRY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL the number of people who are seriously ill sharply declines... That could be as early as May....

MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO REPORTS THAT Many shoppers are now following elaborate routines to disinfect their groceries, thanks to a  video put out by a Michigan family doctor. But all of the experts THEY spoke with say that disinfecting and hand-washing every last item in your grocery haul is really not necessary. That's because respiratory droplets would have to have landed on the exact spot on, say, a box of cereal that you are touching. And even then, you'd have to get enough residual virus on your hand to start an infection – and you'd have to transfer that virus to your face.
