South East Education Cooperative Receives $1 Million AmeriCorps Grant

 U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) announced the South East Education Cooperative received a total of $1,052,489 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency responsible for AmeriCorps and other national service programs. The award will be administered by the North Dakota State Commission on National Community Service.

This continuation grant will put 53 AmeriCorps members on the ground to serve with the South East Education Cooperative in Fargo and support the North Dakota Reading Corps, which provides evidence-based literacy interventions and databased assessments to children from age three to grade three. This CNCS investment will leverage an additional $747,370, further increasing the return on the federal investment.
